A celebration of moms, by moms! Broadway luminaries join songwriters to put on a show to remember!

Acme Hall presents Nevertheless We, a new monthly arts and activism series for 2020 in partnership with GetOrganizedBK. Writers, musicians, and artists will respond to the work of one of GOBK’s activism groups each month.

Roy Nathanson met pianist Deidre Rodman through their excellent friend, trombonist Curtis Fowlkes, as all three musicians shared the circus as a seminal point of reference. Subsequently, Roy asked Deidre to be the pianist for the European tour of his recording project, “ the Fire at Keaton’s bar and Grille” and a 2 decade-long musical relationship began. Recently, they have been coming together for weekly rehearsals to parse the center of their musical relationship through the lens of their common birthday May 17. They are seeking to find out if they are in fact, one person.
